Mirage Composer Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
Mirage Composer (“the app”) is a node-based real-time visuals editor and player for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by an individual developer. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: the app collects nothing.
No data collection
- The app does not collect, store on any server, or share any personal information.
- It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs, and it makes no network requests of its own.
- There are no accounts or sign-in.
Microphone
Audio patches in a composition (such as Audio Input and Audio Spectrum) can react to sound. When a composition uses them, the app asks for microphone access. The sound is analyzed in memory on your device, in real time, to drive the visuals. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. You can turn microphone access off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone (on a Mac, System Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone); the rest of the app keeps working.
Your files
- Compositions you create are saved on your device (in the Files app, under the app's folder) or in a location you choose, such as iCloud Drive. The developer has no access to them.
- Images you add to a composition are read from files you choose and, if you turn on embedding, saved inside the composition file.
- Sharing a composition (for example with AirDrop) happens only when you choose to, through the system share sheet.
Settings stored on your device
The app remembers recently opened files and view settings (such as the viewer's aspect ratio and panel sizes) on your device so it can restore them. This information never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the app.
Information from Apple
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide the developer with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These do not identify you.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Mirage Composer
Apple
